This blog is mainly to help me and Ron (my fabulous coach) keep track of what is going on in my training. Good days. Bad days. Successes and failures. Aches and pains. That sort of thing. But please come visit once in a while to see how we're getting on!

Recovery after the Bath Half

12M - double; recovery run x2 & exercises
6M am recovery run at ~6.30min/M
6M pm recovery run at ~6.45min/M
Core strength exercises (five cycles)

I'm feeling ok after yesterday's race. My quads and calves are a bit stiff now, by evening time. But I don't have any particularly sore areas. And none that'll turn into an injury (my hip problem at the end of last year came the week after the Cardiff Half).

I added in some single leg hops to my core strength exercises today. Now that each cycle is longer (seven type of exercise), I've reduced the number of cycles to five.

I feel usefully focused by yesterday's race, and keen to nail my training (and rest).
