This blog is mainly to help me and Ron (my fabulous coach) keep track of what is going on in my training. Good days. Bad days. Successes and failures. Aches and pains. That sort of thing. But please come visit once in a while to see how we're getting on!

The carbo loading starts here

5M recovery run at ~6.45min/M with pack

The carbo load has landed. Three days. 600g carbohydrate a day. That's the plan. I suspect day 1 is the best. Novelty. And my longstanding predilection for pretzels and other bread-related items. And glazed muffins. Last year, by the end of day 3, I was feeling pretty hacked off with starch. And fairly muzzy headed. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I'm hoping I can persuade Franco Manca pizzeria to give me one of their pizza bases untopped for general nibbling purposes.

Oh. The run was good. Legs getting springy. Eyed up mile 25 on the Embankment.
