This blog is mainly to help me and Ron (my fabulous coach) keep track of what is going on in my training. Good days. Bad days. Successes and failures. Aches and pains. That sort of thing. But please come visit once in a while to see how we're getting on!

A steady day

15M double; recovery run and steady run
5M recovery run at ~8.20min/M
10M steady run at ~6.15min/M

A good, steady day today. The morning run was enjoyable recovery, with Yasmin. Sunny on the Embankment.

I am still just a bit achy from Monday's core strength work (rather than marathon hangover). But I feel pretty strong. My evening run was untimed, but was a half decent pace.

  1. Hi Rich - Duncan from Highgate Harriers... Great work on the blog, really good read and well done on your fantastic marathon. Quick question: how accurate are your mile time estimates? are you using gps?

    (hope you don't mind questions)

  2. Hi Duncan,
Glad you like the blog. I don't always use a gps (I rarely bother on slow/recovery and steady runs) but pretty much always use it on my tempos and long runs. I also use it to get my pacing right at the beginning of races - I used to half way in the marathon)
Hope your running is going well
